Almost 35 weeks

Next Wednesday I will be 35 weeks - that's when Tom was born weighing over 7 pounds! I am so ready to have the little girl although I am still doing great. Still running every day, doing weights and abs three times a week. No issues sleeping, no swelling anywhere, no symptoms really apart from the bump. Pregnancy would be really easy if it wasn't for all the comments and questions - I know people mean well but I am so tired of the constant repeat of having names picked out, what the due date is, how I am feeling etc.

Nursery is done

With the crib finally coming in (after 3 months), and having bought some additional stuff for the nursery, it is almost done. I really like how it turned out.

Another surprise shower

I had another surprise shower, this time at work. Sharon had scheduled a lunch meeting to catch up after she returned from her vacation - and I was not suspicious at all, given the fact that she had been away in Greece for almost three weeks. When we came over to Luka's there were all the people from work and it took me a minute to realize they were there for me! The table was decorated with cupcakes and little rubber ducks, so cute. We had lunch and then I unwrapped the gifts - I was pretty overwhelmed by the thoughtful gesture from so many people who I have only known for 10 months. So nice!

More maternity pictures

Carla gave me all the maternity pictures and I love them!!! I can't wait to put a book together with those as well as the pictures of the little girl once she is here.

Dinner and surprise baby shower

Charlie hosted a dinner in honor of Tom and I. As always amazing food and lots of fun. In addition to Charlie, Jed and Adrienne, Beth, Lisa, Stacey, Daniel, and Marc were there. They surprised Tom and I with a great card and many baby items which we all needed. So cool!

Maternity pictures

For my birthday, Carla gave me maternity and newborn pictures. She is such a great photographer so I was really excited about it. We took the maternity pictures yesterday and it was so much fun! We even got Tom to pose for about 10 minutes which was a great accomplishment as he hates having his picture taken.

Memorial Day BBQ

Memorial Day today - yeah for a 3-day weekend! We went to a BBQ at Stephanie and Paul's. Nice weather, great food, great company. Good times! The highlight was definitely when Ian's chair broke down under him - such a laugh!

It was so good to see everybody and just hang out. Stephanie and Paul have such a beautiful Victorian house with a great garden.

Tom had quite a bit to drink so I drove home. Lucky him to have a designated driver with me :-)
